Revamp Any Set Of Stairs With This Simple Wallpaper Project!

Bored with walking up the stairs and seeing bland wood? Well, with this simple tutorial from Sunset, anyone can take a set of stairs and turn them into a piece of art.

First, gather these materials:

  • Wallpaper
  • Wallpaper paste
  • 2-inch sponge brush
  • Scissors
  • Craft knife

Start by carefully measuring each stair riser separately. Then cut the wallpaper exactly to size.

Apply wallpaper paste with a 2-inch sponge brush to adhere the wallpaper to the stair. Begin at the top right corner and continue across the top and down the sides, wiping off any excess paste with a damp sponge.

Allow a few hours to dry and then, voila! Enjoy gorgeous new stairs all guests will be talking about.

Get Ready To Revitalize A Room’s Wall With Removable Wallpaper

Whether it’s a rental or forever home, sometimes long-term wall decor isn’t always the best solution. Well thanks to the great minds over at The Design Confidential, anyone can create their own removable wallpaper in just a few easy steps.

Start by gathering the necessary materials:

  • 24″ x 36″ paper (in any desired design)
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Ruler or straight-edge

When all items are accounted for, begin by measuring out the wall to be covered and cut the paper to size. If it is a large area, try to match up patterns that will look aesthetically pleasing when they overlap. Then cut off any excess paper.

Following the creation of the pattern, adhere the double sided tape to all 4 edges of each paper. Before removing the tape backing and applying the sheets of paper to the wall, do a test fit to make sure the pattern lines up correctly.

Once the test fit is completed, peel back the tape backing and begin adding the paper to the wall. The great thing about this tape is that it is not only sturdy, but also easily removable.

When completed, the wall or walls of the home will be completely rejuvenated without any of the permanence or difficulty of applying regular wallpaper.

Start by gathering these materials:

  • Pallet
  • Hooks
  • Screws
  • Sandpaper
  • Right Angle Ruler
  • Tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Circular Saw
  • Cordless Drill
  • Screwdriver

Begin by using the circular saw to cut the pallet to a manageable size. Then sand down this mini pallet, making sure the wood is smooth.

Once sanded, decide if decoration for the project is essential. In One Little Bird’s design, they decided to sponge brush the word “coffee” with stencils to add style.

Next it’s time for the hooks! Take a ruler and pencil to measure where the hooks will go. Follow this step by drilling the hooks into the chosen spots. While the spaces should be event spaced, don’t stress if the placement isn’t perfect. The mugs will distract from any unevenness.
